Crypto asset investment manager Coinstone Capital launches website
Press release – The crypto asset investment manager, Coinstone Capital, has just launched their website. Coinstone Capital is the result of the cooperation between blockchain use case expert, Gys Hough, and professional fund manager, Guenter Hoellerl. The fund, Coinstone Capital Decentralised One, invests in early-stage blockchain projects that use token economics to monetise their offering and grow network effects. A use tcase-based approach is employed to focus the research, project selection and diversification of the fund.
Gys Hough made the move from Big Four blockchain consulting to crypto asset investments due to his fascination with token economics. Hough: “As I was assisting corporates in discovering the advantages and challenges of blockchain technology I noticed that blockchain’s ability to bring down the cost of cooperation was merely the start. Technological development was held back and even used against humanity due to monetisation and network effect creation issues. It became clear that if used properly token economics could be used to address these issues through enabling co-ownership. If you get the ownership model right then monetisation and network effects fall in place as well.”
For Guenter Hoellerl the move to crypto assets was a logical career progression. “After working more than 15 years in capital markets trading I did an MBA in Madrid with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. It inspired me to start my own business but the passion for trading remained. When I first met Gys at a friend’s wedding he told me about blockchain-based decentralisation and token economics. I realised that we were witnessing the birth of a new asset class and our combined expertise could provide investors with the professionalism they expect from traditional asset managers.”
This combination of expertise places Coinstone Capital in the position to make long-term, early stage value investments and actively manage the portfolio through the inevitable market fluctuations. When asked what they thought about the timing of entering the market they mentioned that although sentiment has been better, the ICO/STO market shows signs of maturing, valuations are far more realistic and the inherent value-add of tokenisation and decentralisation is as relevant as it always was.
Coinstone Capital will actively start seeding the fund from Q1 2019. Enquiries can be made by sending a mail to [email protected].
